Short- and Medium-Term Development Plans

As of 2025 a total area of 3.5 ha of the Lahr Airport grounds is under active development for a series of new buildings. One of these will be the ground station of the new rescue helicopter ("Christoph Ortenau"), which will be based at EDTL as of July 2026.
The visualizations in this section show a current snapshot of the development plans.
As such, they are subject to evolve quickly, as we incorporate feedback and requirements from interested parties that seek to establish a presence at Lahr Airport.

Main Apron

The area under development is located on the north end of the main apron, which itself comprises about 60.0000 sqm of maneuvering and parking space.
